Found this and liked it......

"...who am I to come to worship the Almighty and expect to get something? Yet that's what most of us do, turning up tired from a week's work and busy weekend, needing our batteries recharging, looking for a bit of a power-pack from God or to be caught up in some holy moment... (but) if worship is a gift, then it is absolutely not about what I am looking to get out of it, but what I am looking to give."

Hey lovely,

We sang this song at church last night (missed you by the way) and I really liked the words.

Me and God are going through a tough patch at the moment, not having much to do with each other. We makes me feel bad, which makes me not want to read my bible and pray, which makes me even further from God! Doh!

Peter G's sermon last night was excellent too.

See you soon hon xx

MY TROUBLED SOUL, why so weighed down?
You were not made to bear this heavy load.
Cast all Your burdens upon the Lord;
Jesus cares, He cares for you.

Jesus cares, He cares for you.
And all your worrying
Won’t help you make it through.
Cast all your burdens upon the Lord.
And trust again in the promise of His love.

I will praise the mighty name of Jesus,
Praise the Lord, the lifter of my head.
Praise the Rock of my salvation,
All my days are in His faithful hands.

My anxious heart, why so upset?
When trials come, how you so easily forget
To cast your burdens upon the Lord;
Jesus cares, He cares for you.

Amen to that.

I know that I need to remember this.

But from the preachers view (my other hat!) I do wish people wouldn't come to Sunday worship so demanding. It's wrong (as your quote implies) but it's also draining on those who must minister to an every changing sea of needs.
